HTC has
finally rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone in India. The company
has confirmed on Twitter that it has started rolling out the update for the
flagship device in the country.
The
company earlier said that it will roll out the latest update for its flagship
device HTC 10 and two mid-range devices HTC One A9 and One M9+, however, as of
now, Android Nougat i only available for HTC 10 while the update timeline for
other two devices are still unknown at the moment.
Recently,
the HTC 10 got a price
cut of Rs 5,000. The smartphone was launched for Rs 52,990 and is now
available for Rs 47,990 for Topaz Gold colour variant on HTC e-store. To get Rs
5,000 off on the HTC 10 smartphone in HTC e-store, customers have to use Coupon
code - HTC5000 to avail the offer. Apart from this price cut, HTC is also
offering 6 months extended warranty on all HTC smartphones. For this, customers
have to use coupon code – HTCWarranty.
To
recollect, the device comes with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with a screen
resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm
Snapdragon 820 processor, runs on Android Marshmallow operating system with HTC
Sense user interface, is backed by a 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and
an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 2 TB
capacity.
It has a
12-megapixel rear camera that comes with Laser Autofocus, BSI sensor, Optical
Image Stabilisation, f1.8 aperture, Sapphire lens, dual tone LED flashlight,
Auto HDR, and manual mode feature. This camera can capture 4K videos. For
selfies, the phones are armed with a 5-megapixel front camera which too is an
autofocus unit and has BSI sensor, f1.8 aperture, Auto HDR and Optical Image
Stabilisation feature.
The HTC
10, which measures 145.9x 71.9 x 3.0 - 9.0 mm and weighs 161 grams, has NFC,
Bluetooth 4.2,WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Miracast, DLNA, 3.5 mm jack and USB TypeC
port.
